One of the best character in the dog kingdom is from a well-trained Labradoodle. On the other hand, the type of character a puppy turns with is commonly determined by a number of factors. The character of the parents is one of the main factors that influence the character of a Labradoodle puppy. Good character from the parent means that the puppy is more likely to turn out with good character. The same applies to bad character. When in need of Labradoodle Chicago is worth visiting.

The other thing that determines temperament is the amount of socialization that a dog had while still young. Badly socialized dogs may exhibit some aggression towards other pets and strangers as well. Also, they may maintain a certain distance from their owner. This means that in order to hold or touch them a person has to pursue them. In most cases, they prefer staying alone and will snarl at anyone getting closer to them.

In general labradoodles are very friendly dogs. They allow their owners and even strangers to near them and touch their beautiful coats. They also enjoy the company of people a lot, and will always approach people any chance they get. They wag their tails and run around when they are happy and contented. They may also jump on people if they are well socialized but not trained.

This breed is a smart and intelligent one. They source their intelligence from their poodle side and the passion to work for people from the Labrador side. If positive reinforcement is used they are quite easy to train. Rewards can in form of praise, play, and/or treats. Rewards serve the purpose of making learning happier and quicker.

Training should on the day they arrive home. They have the ability to learn at a young age as young as eight weeks old. It is hard to train a puppy from six months since they are used to doing things in a certain manner. It is hard and at times dangerous to teach new skills to a grown dog.

When training, one should start with basic skills and then improve on the level of complication of the skills over time. Commands should be taught one at a time. The puppy should be taken to a kindergarten class at the age of 10 to 12 weeks. These classes are vital for socialization. The puppy gets to meet other puppies of the same or different kind and socialize with them.

On the hand, the puppy should be given the required vaccines before being taken to public places such as kindergarten. The kennel cough should be the first vaccine given to the puppy. Other vaccines include distemper, rabies and parvovirus vaccines. Socialization can however begin at home with friends and family before the puppy is taken to kindergarten.

When selecting a puppy, it is important to talk to a breeder about it. One should describe to the breeder what they are looking for in a puppy. Since breeders interact with their own puppies on a daily basis, they can accurately select a puppy that exhibits the traits that a buyer is looking for.
