Today, the number of designer dogs has grown a lot and it include goldendoodles. Goldedoodles came from a cross between a golden retriever and a poodle. They are not a breed on their own per se, but they are growing a lot in terms of popularity. Goldie Poos, Groodles, and Golden poos are among the names the breed also goes by. Some of the Goldendoodle puppies for sale in Arizona that one should consider can be found from various breeders in the location.

Among the various mixes of poodles, goldenpoodle is the youngest of them all. The breed started to be bred in the 1990s by crossbreeding Labrador retrievers and poodles. At that time, the popularity of cockapoos and labradoodles had taken a holding. The breed was developed in order to produce a large form of a poodle that still maintained the same attractive qualities of poodles. Some of the qualities that were needed include intelligence, low-dander traits, and low-shedding coat.

The relatively young age of the breed means that most individuals are first generation puppies. That implies that they resulted from crossbreeding poodles with Labrador retrievers. At the moment, the exercise of interbreeding groodles with other groodles is fairly limited. Also, no registries or clubs currently exist for this breed. Popularity is increasing at a high rate in all corners of the world today.

There is a lot of variance in the sizes of goldendoodles. The variance can be attributed to the fact that there are still no breed standards that breeders are supposed to follow. Also, the individuals never result from multigenerational breedings. Nonetheless, groodles exist in three main sizes, that is, large, standard, and miniature.

Crossing standard poodles and golden retrievers is what gives miniature groodles. The miniature groodles weigh 15 to 35 pounds while the height at the shoulders ranges between 13 and 20 inches when the dog has matured fully. The standards groodle stands 17-20 inches tall at the shoulders and has a weight of 40-50 pounds. Lastly, the large variety reaches a height of 20-24 inches at the shoulders and weighs between 50-90 pounds.

When compared to other poodle mixes, groodles have become popular at a higher rate. This can be attributed to the fact that they have good personality traits. Their nature includes being accepting, intelligent, and friendly. They are a perfect family pet and companion because they are very affectionate. Proper training makes them to enjoy human company a lot. They tend to be playful and mischievous when in good mood.

The kind of temperament the dog turn out with in adulthood usually depend on heredity, training, and socialization among other factors. To prevent it from becoming mischievous, it should not be left alone for many hours. Human company is important to the temperament too. The breed coexists well with other pets, breed, and little kids. They have low-maintenance coats and need exercise only moderately.

Generally, goldendoodles have good health. In comparison to their original parents, they live longer and are affected by less health problems. They are only affected by genetic health problems that also affect both the golden retriever and the poodle. Some of the health concerns to watch out for are HCD, patella and elbow disorder, and PRA.
