Wiccan Rituals To Better Your Life

By Jana Serrano

Every person has ingrained habits that characterize their essential nature. One can detect a lifestyle with Wiccan rituals as being a source of repetitive behavior. You don't have to be stuck in a rut, however. Daily activities can be changed, especially if they clutter or muddle the mind. Sometimes we are a victim of too much on our plate and need to take a breather.

There are good and bad rituals of course. Religious ones are keepers. So are those having to do with health and fitness. Then there are many that denote who we are such as a hobby or area of interest. But when you become obsessive and your to do list takes a week to write, it's time to take stock of oneself.

Self-improvement is always an important goal, although not so easy to implement. Old, bad habits get in the way. You have to make a conscious effort to begin a program that will survive the onslaught of old ways. You can't do it if you are not relaxed and ready to absorb change.

Eating and drinking are areas that expose habits, good and bad. Shopping is another. There is a line between normal and excess. What is your favorite ritual? Sometimes it is unconscious and you have to think hard to bring it to the fore. Hopefully it is something frugal and healthful and benefits you to the core.

Take note of these coping mechanisms and build a ritual out of it. You can do it with a notebook or a mobile application. You can set an alarm for it to remind you. Remember to write on it daily. It will improve your self-awareness as well.

Substitution works wonders. Go to yoga class if you want to binge on sweets. Watch a favorite movie if you crave another smoke. Do not shop at every turn when you are stressed. Visit a charity where you can make better use of the money. Slowly but surely, over time you will see a sea change in your life.

Replace bad habits with the good for easier compliance. If you replace coffee for cigarettes, it may be enough to crack the bad habit code. In other words, create new habits you can appreciate enough to get rid of the old.

At first, it is about substitutions and a new type of gratification. Choose wisely for best results. Don't try the impossible like giving up sweets forever. It will only create stress and that is a sure trigger for more bad behavior.

Consistency creates a new habit. They say about 21 days max. Learn to wait patiently for a new ritual to happen. Then it will spring into your life like fresh, rushing water, splashing you with revitalizing drops.

It may be a challenge at first, but it works. You can and will succeed. If it takes 21 days to form a habit, it takes that many to get rid of one. Be patient and you will survive. Tell friends and family and they will help out by supporting you. Use your resources and you will prevail.
