It is the desire of many people to have a puppy. This is because; with a puppy, one can never get bored. The fact is that trained puppies are able to give great companionship, just like human beings. No wader many kids and adults cannot be able to do without a dog. However before you decide to buy a puppy, you may need to evaluate a number of factors that can help you discern if you are really able to live with miniature schnauzer puppies.

Consider the kind of a landlord you are dealing with. While some landlords do not care what you do with their apartments, so long as you pay your rent on time, others are keen. They do not like people keeping pets in their premises. It is important to find out the stand of your landlord, before you buy the pet.

Consider if you can really afford keeping a puppy. The fact is that puppies are not cheap to keep. You will need to pay vet bills, professional training, food and even a dog walker. Before buying a dog, contact a local vet and inquire on the cost of vaccines, routine care, heart worm pills, and regular checkups. You also need to know that emergency do occurs. It is good to be ready for such emergencies.

If you have ever lived with a puppy, you can attest that puppies are very active. They have a lot of energy to play and ruin up and down. Consider if you are able to keep up with such energy before committing yourself. If you realize that you are not able to, you can go for an adult dog.

Consider the nature of your work. Some jobs involve a lot of traveling which may not be good for a puppy owner. In case you travel a lot, you need to make arrangements. Ensure that someone take care of your puppy when you are gone.

One thing is for sure; if you buy a pet, expect your house to get really dirty. Your pet will step on your mat, or even pee making it dirty and smelly. Again, you may have to get rid of every valuable item on the ground. This is because; the pet is likely to chew items such as furniture, they find on the floor.

Consider if you are allergic. This is because; some pets cause allergy on some people. This will help you avoid the danger that comes with living with a pet when you are allergic. Also, you may decide to look for a breed that does not cause allergic reactions on individuals.

Consider the people you live with. Get to know if they are okay with having a puppy in the house. They should not only like the puppy, but they should also be willing to help in caring for the puppy. Also, your puppy may chew or pee on items belonging to your roomies. If they hate dogs, they can get very offended in case of such an occurrence.
