Bichon Puppies For Sale, Things To Know Before Buying One

By Raymond Carter

Lovable and cute are the adjectives people attach to puppies. They really find them adorable, especially dog lovers. The puppies create feelings inside them that drive their desire to adopt or somehow be a foster owner to one of them. It is costly, yes, but so does every other commodity in life. There are shops and online sites that have bichon puppies for sale.

Common to the bichon frise is the white poufy fur which stands out of their body. They only stand to one foot and they do not get any taller than that. They are good companions to be with due to their jolly and good disposition and quirky personality.

Their breed sheds little to no fur. Thus, many are dubbing them as hypoallergenic. People with allergies are dying to have them due to this reason. However, they still need the go signal from their doctor and to spend time in the presence of the dog before making any permanent decisions.

This breed need constant love, affection, and attention from you. Socializing with you as well as your family is how they show theirs in return. Playing outside can help them adjust in being left alone for a while. They can get distracted with their friends and playmates.

However, they cannot stand to being alone for longer than necessary. If you cannot commit to this or leave them for prolonged periods of time, the puppies and their adult counterparts will suffer separation anxiety. If you have to leave for work and other engagements, you have to leave them with someone you trust or come back home early.

These fluffy dogs are always active. You can always see them run around and play in or out of the house. You never need to worry about their daily exercise requirement. They have the characteristics of being a social butterfly. They love to meet new friends and people. They treat strangers they meet with the same temperament they show their owners.

Nutrition is important. High quality food is more appropriate for them. If you prefer to make the food yourself, ask your veterinarian on how to properly prepare their food and food portions so they can get balanced nutrition. Regulate their diet as well because they are prone to overweight due to their small size.

Make sure to always take care of their health. Talk to your veterinarian on what you can do for simple illnesses and how to prepare for the serious ones. Take notes on what you have talked about and list out the symptoms to watch out for. Serious risks in their health happen when they have bladder infections, patellar luxation, vaccination sensitivity, allergies, and juvenile cataracts.

It is necessary to groom them. Keep it regular and on a schedule. At least once a month, you will bathe them. Clip their nails so you do not get scratched regularly. Their fur needs to be brushed at least twice or thrice in a week but it is better to do it every day. You do not need to go to grooming centers to do all these. You just need to show your pet how and they will learn eventually that these are part of their grooming ritual.
