Being At Home In Pizza Places

By Roger Kelly

It used to be that people foraged for food, back when human society was made up of nomadic hunter gatherers. Then people settled into agricultural societies where they grew their own food. Then society industrialized and people started working in jobs that did not allow them the time to grow their own food. So, people started selling the food that was grown. But some people did not have the skills necessary to cook or prepare that food, or they simply lacked the energy to do so. So, restaurants then became a thing. Now, those restaurants kept on evolving, going from simple inns to luxury dining experiences. Nestled neatly in between the two extremes, right in the middle of the spectrum, are any number of pizza places in Copperas Cove TX.

As far as food goes, there is nothing quite like pizza. The only thing that comes close in terms of utility and taste is the sandwich. Truth be told, a pizza is basically just a sandwich, except without the extra slice of bread. Like a sandwich, a slice of pizza can be eaten using just one hand, which means that it can be eaten on the go or sitting down while the other hand is free to fiddle with a smartphone or with a drink. They are also tasty, because the combination of cheese and tomato sauce creates a tangy, sweet and savory effect on the tongue. They are also filling. A single slice is enough to constitute a mean by itself.

Pizza is relatively simple to make. First, there is a layer of dough, though premade bread can be substituted. Then sauce is spread over the surface. The cheese covers the sauce. Then comes a variety of toppings. Then it is baked and sliced.

Pizza is enjoyed everywhere in the globe. This is because it is delicious and tasty. They can be made with any type of bread, any type of cheese, and any combination of toppings.

But a pie does not have to be eaten by itself. Pizza parlors often have numerous side dishes to accompany the main dish. The most common is garlic bread, another Italian dish. But anything from fried chicken to French fries can be served alongside a pie.

Pizzas are great for families. Children love pizzas. Parents also love pizzas and their children. Given all that, it makes sense that most parlor tend to skew towards family friendly demographics.

But pizzas being a group food means that groups of friends can eat them. They are generally large enough that everyone gets a taste. They are also sliced, so everyone gets and equal share. Not to mention they are relatively inexpensive, so groups of employed young people can buy more than one if one is not enough for everyone.

But the menu is not the only attraction of a parlor. Some can have arcades with rows of videogames. Others can have live shows, or just robots that make it look they are playing live music.

Food is fuel. Humans need it to keep surviving. But it is not enough that food be edible and nutritious. Human society demands that food also be delicious, that it be pleasurable to the tongue.
